In the swim of things

With all the hot weather over the summer, many of us have had paddling pools in the back garden, as we did when the nephews came to stay, but what do you do when it’s time to empty the pool? It is such a waste to simply pull out the plug and empty the water onto the grass or down the drain.
The Groundskeeper, with its versatile hose mode, makes what could be a wasteful and messy task, easy. We simply put the Groundkeeper's feed hose, with the submersible filter attached, into the pool and used the Groundskeeper to fill up our water butts with the pool water. It handled the task with ease, pumping over 3,800 litres, much of that up a 3m incline, into our water butts. It took 7 hours of operation (it was a big pool!) but no water was wasted and the only work we had to do was to periodically move the hose to fill up another water butt.
Now we’ve got the lawn space back and have saved the pool water for irrigation. Any remaining chlorine will evaporate off and particulate matter and bacteria will have been filtered out by the Groundskeeper, so it will be safe to use the water on our precious plants.
Hose mode is just one of the clever features the Groundskeeper has to help you make the most of your water reserves, to find our more click here.
