Preparing for Emergencies

Preparing for Emergencies
You may have seen in the press that the Government have just launched a website aimed at preparing the public for emergencies and natural disasters. At first it might sound like something out of a zombie apocalypse movie, but it’s really about taking some time to think about what the potential risks of natural events like floods or power cuts are and how we can minimise the impact of them on our families and communities.
There are simple steps that we can all take to prepare for an emergency. For example, having sufficient supplies of food, water, medications and power are some of the essentials that a prepared individual will have in place.
If an uninterruptable power source (UPS) is something you need to maintain a fridge or freezer (for food or medication), or to run essential equipment like a computer, mobility scooter or even marine fish tank, then the Ark can help.
When connected to its powerful solar array, the Ark can provide consistent electricity over weeks, months or years depending on load. It’ll never run out of fuel like a diesel/petrol generator and can even be disconnected from the solar and used as a remote power bank to run essential, hard to move, equipment during a power outage.
If you’d like to discuss how the Ark could be used to support your household emergency plan then please contact us at sales@disconnectedenergy.co.uk
